F.J.Ratchford proudly offers the full line of
Franz Hoffmann Fine Leathers of Stuttgart, Germany under direct
license of Bookbinders Workshop, Inc of Long Island, New York.
Franz Hoffmann Fine Leathers was established in 1925, and has
built a solid reputation spanning 85 years for supplying extremely
high quality bookbinding leathers.
F.J.Ratchford have many years experience in
promoting book binding leather.
Our quality leathers are available from stock in various
grades, in a selection of colours, and finishes. In particular
we stock natural, embossed, glazed and unglazed skins. Now
included within our range are the original Alum-Tawed (tanned)
Pigskin, which is available in a natural medieval state, and
also bright white.
No bleaching is ever used in Hoffmann leathers, and also
exclusive Bookbinding Workshops Cathedral Calfskin. Our new
range of leathers are priced in a way that reflects our commitment
to the art of bookbinding and rare book conservation.
In addition to leathers, we stock leather dyes, leather cleaners,
and polish, along with our Schärf-Fix 2000 leather pairing
