Integration for succession in 2026. We want things to continue!

A successor is to be found by 2026 for this company—internationally established since 1925, successful, and holding a monopoly position—due to the owner's age.

The traditional name "Franz Hoffmann-Feinleder" will continue to be promoted in the spirit of the company's founder for decades to come.

The current owner will provide comprehensive training and guidance regarding the entire product range. Once the particularly challenging times caused by the current geopolitical situation—which we all hope will soon pass—are behind us, the favorable acquisition of my company will pay off. Furthermore, the company will mark its 100th anniversary on April 1, 2025.

Therefore, I plan to have the traditional name "Franz Hoffmann-Feinleder" integrated into another renowned company in the industry by 2026, ensuring that—following the official announcement—all customers continue to receive reliable service in line with my vision and that of the founder. This important step is a matter very close to my heart. The currently tense geopolitical situation necessitates a carefully considered takeover and handover process.

I do not wish to sell my company at this precise moment, as new customers are still being added almost weekly—for instance, for valve leather used in organ building. This trend is also driven by the many insolvencies and business closures occurring within the leather industry.

Additional information: My company is a small wholesale and foreign trade business specializing in unique leathers; it is owner-operated with great passion by myself—a tanner, tannery technician, and marketing specialist (IHK-certified). Since 1925, this long-established company—a niche provider with virtually no international competition—has supplied high-quality, artisan-crafted leathers and genuine animal-skin parchments to interior fitters, fine leather goods manufacturers, bookbinders, calligraphers, and restoration/conservation specialists both domestically and abroad.

Offerings are tailored to specific needs and include products made to custom specifications or supplied as pre-cut pieces. The client base consists primarily of commercial customers—including publishers, industrial firms, craft businesses, and public-sector institutions (such as libraries and archives)—as well as many private individuals and local walk-in customers.

Upon the sale of the company, I am personally available to provide training on the entire product range, supply chains, and client relationships, as well as the internet domain (Feinleder.com). As of July 1, 2025, the website has been updated to ensure legal compliance with the new Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG) and has been optimized for SEO.

The purchase price for the company is negotiable based on the financial accounts and balance sheets of the preceding three years, plus the cost of the internet domain and all master data for customers and suppliers. Success through acquisition... a great opportunity?

A conclusion: Many companies are currently repositioning themselves in the market, acquiring competitors—or, frequently, niche providers—to expand their expertise, strengthen their market position, and further develop their product portfolios. This is how a successful corporate transaction is achieved.
